Diane, who had been helping Vanessa through tough times, had fallen behind on rent because she extended credit to struggling families. Realizing his mistake, the landlord feels ashamed and offers Diane the apartment at half price, vowing to be more compassionate. Through this, he learns the importance of helping others when times get tough.
